Shakespeare in Central Park

When spring comes to NYC, many a theater lover’s fancy turns to the wonderful free performances of Shakespeare in the Park staged in the Delacorte Theater (performances of A Comedy of Errors begins on May 28.) But there’s more of the bard to be found just west and south of the theater in the Shakespeare Garden, a lovely off the beaten path retreat. (Closest access is through the park entrance at 79th Street and Central Park West.) Here’s a glimpse of what was on view today.

  1. In Ft Tryon Park, there is a Shakespeare herb garden.

    1. I didn't know that. Just found out there's also one at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden: http://www.bbg.org/discover/gardens/shakespeare_garden.
Now I want to see both!
